There are two ways to turn the music you hear in your head into real sound: MIDI production, where you compose and arrange yourself, and audio engineering, where you polish and finish that sound. YM MUSIC teaches the two together, or focuses on whichever one you want.
MIDI production is making songs with virtual instruments and MIDI notes, while audio engineering is recording real sound and polishing it to completion. The tools you handle and the instincts you need are different.
Both tracks start in the same studio with the same gear, then head in their own directions.
